EVOLUTION inkjet printers were designed as a "low cost" but completely expandable inkjet printing system. In it's basic form, it is a direct replacement for contact style roller coders printing simple product identification onto corrugated cartons.
However, the addition of optional software enhancements take EVOLUTION from a simple product marking system to one that rivals much higher priced hi-res large character inkjet printers meant for secondary carton coding, as well as a viable alternative to the small character DOD, continuous inkjet and laser printers.
Based on the proven Hewlett Packard thermal ink jet printhead, the EVOLUTION is quite simply the simplest and lowest-cost inkjet printer on the market today.
Features:
There are currently 2 Evolution Inkjets available, with a third release planned later in the year.
EVOLUTION-1 can be used either as a replacement for a roller-coder, printing large text onto cartons, or as a small character inkjet printer with 2 lines of text!
Inks are formulated for porous or semi-porous substrates in a variety of colours.
EVOLUTION SC is a true small character ink jet printer that utilizes Hewlett Packard ink jet technology. The ink used in this system has been formulated for use on non-porous substrates including coated chipboard cartons, metals, most plastics and a variety of overwrap films.

The new 4700 ink has been released for the EVOLUTION-1 inkjet systems, featuring a dry-time of 1-3 seconds on materials such as metal and plastic.
This ink lets this sub-2K printer handle applications traditionally reserved for expensive continuous inkjet printers (CIJ) while reducing consumable cost and maintenance.
Trend's Hot QuickCoder was successful in providing a solution to print on the base of glass jars with a use-by date.
The application is manual - an operator loading the jars into a basic jig - with the HQC unit printing from underneath on the slightly domed base with a white colour.![]()
